Ph.D.
Assistant Professor

David is pioneering an interface between protein evolution, synthetic biology and quantitative systems biology. His PhD work, also at Baylor College of Medicine, set a foundation for understanding the biochemical and genetic underpinnings of an important antibiotic resistance enzyme. He is currently applying the lab’s Evolutionary Action equation to identify adaptive mutations in bacteria.
