Ilya graduated with a BS in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University in 2010. Upon transitioning to graduate school, he became interested in computational biology and joined the Lichaterge lab. Currently, he works on deciphering evolutionary properties of functional RNAs, as well as automated reasoning on abstracted Gene Ontology networks.
