Kevin is a graduate student in the G&G program at BCM with a BS in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Nebraska and a Professional Science Masters in Bioinformatics from the University of Maine. During undergraduate and graduate years, Kevin studied genetic determinants of Drosophila speciation events, basic mechanisms of Alport Syndrome, conserved UTR elements affecting translational regulation, and variant characterization for inborn errors of metabolism. His current research interests include variant characterization and impact predictions to aid in the push towards personalized medicine.
